Jason Momoa has said he struggled to pay bills and was "completely in debt" after he was killed off in Game of Thrones.
The 41-year-old actor, who played played Khal Drogo in the popular HBO series, admits that his exit from the show in 2011, after just ten episodes, left him and his family "starving" as he "couldn't get work".
Speaking to InStyle, Momoa said: "I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones. I couldn't get work."
"It's very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt."
Momoa, who has two children with his wife Lisa Bonet, has since gone on to find huge success as Arthur Curry in Aquaman.
The Hawaiian star also opened up about receiving therapy as he navigates the world of showbiz.
"I'm amping myself up all day long, and then my nervous system doesn't know that I'm not lopping people's heads off," he said.
"For me to relax and sit still is next to impossible."
