Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as Doctor Strange for the latest Spider-Man movie.
The 44-year-old actor will become a new mentor to Peter Parker/Spider-Man following the death of his previous mentor Tony Stark / Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., in Avengers: Endgame, in the third outing which stars Tom Holland as the web-slinging superhero, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Cumberbatch is about to play Doctor Strange in a standalone sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It has been speculated that this is how Strange will cross paths with Spider-Man.
The new Spider-Man movie is tipped to begin filming in Atlanta in November, while the Doctor Strange sequel will start shooting in London in October.
Cumberbatch first appeared in the Marvel franchise in 2016's Doctor Strange before appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
