There was disappointment for Normal People at the virtual TV Choice Awards, with stars Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones missing out on acting gongs in the public vote and the adaptation of the Sally Rooney bestseller missing out on the Best New Drama prize.
Jodie Comer won Best Actress for Killing Eve and Martin Clunes won Best Actor for Doc Martin. White House Farm was named Best New Drama.
Coronation Street was the big winner on the night, taking the awards for Best Soap, Best Soap Actor (Jack P Shepherd, who plays David) and Best Actress (Shelley King, who plays Yasmeen).
Normal People's Mescal is among the nominees for this month's Emmy Awards in the US. He is shortlisted in the Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie category - one of four nominations for Normal People.
Director Lenny Abrahamson, casting director Louise Kiely, author Rooney and co-screenwriter Alice Birch have also been nominated.
The virtual awards take place on Sunday, September 20.
