Good news for anyone missing live music - Kodaline have announced plans for a new string of live stream performances, set to take place at the end of August and early September

Speaking about their upcoming gigs, Kodaline said: "We've been working on putting together something really special to replace our Friday acoustic live streams so really excited to announce the first run of 4 full band ticketed live streams starting Saturday the 29 of August!

"Each week we will be playing a unique show for that stream starting with In A Perfect World where we will be playing the album in its entirety followed by One Day At A Time,  B-Sides & Covers & Summer Festival."

The full band live shows will take place twice a day at 11.00am and 8.00pm on August 29, and September 5, 12 and 19 respectively.

The band released their fourth album,One Day At A Time, during lockdown and bassist Jason Boland told RTÉ Entertainment that the record really resonates with how they have felt during the coronavirus outbreak.

"I don't know how it happened and it’s happened with us in the past where something will really resonant. Obviously the songs were written six months before all this happened."

He added: "We've been keeping busy, we only just finished the record before quarantine started. We were getting mixes back and we had enough to keep ourselves busy for the first few weeks and then we started doing these live streams every Friday."
