Taylor Swift has claimed that US President Donald Trump's "calculated dismantling of USPS (United States Postal Service)" in advance of November's election proves that he knows that Americans do not want him as president.

In a fresh attack on the US leader, The Folklore singer tweeted, "He's chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans' lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power."

She also claimed that the US President "wants to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely".

President Trump does not support proposed emergency financial aid for the US Postal Service. He believes that increased mail-in ballots would favour Democrats in the upcoming election, repeating his unsubstantiated claims that many of these ballots would be "fraudulent", according to TMZ.

In light of unconfirmed reports that the USPS may be withdrawing mail sorting machines from service, Swift urged her fans to request a mail-in ballot and progress matters by voting early.
