It has been reported that EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt is taking an "extended holiday" from the BBC soap that will be worked into a storyline involving his character, Ian Beale.
The Daily Star claims it has been told by a BBC source that Woodyatt will be off "for around 10 weeks". The BBC has not commented on the story.
Fifty-two-year-old Woodyatt has played Ian since EastEnders began in February 1985. He and his co-stars recently returned to filming on the socially-distanced set.

It was announced last week that EastEnders will be back with new episodes from Monday, September 7.
