Father-to-be Orlando Bloom has said he can't wait to have a ''daddy's girl'' to share a special bond with.

The 43-year-old actor and his fiancée Katy Perry are expecting their first child together later this month, and Bloom admits he hopes his daughter is "going to love" him as he's "going to love her".

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Bloom who has nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, said he's "so excited" about the new arrival.

''I'm so excited to have a little daddy's girl. I hope she's going to love me as much as I'm going to love her," he said.

''That daddy-girl thing, you know, and that love of your life feeling is I think right around there, you know.''

Bloom admits his son is also looking forward to welcoming a sister to the family as he already has two half-brothers, Kerr and her husband Evan Spiegel's sons Hart, two, and Myles, 10 months.

''He's got a couple of other brothers, but this is his first sister, so he's excited.''

Bloom recently opened up about his relationship with Perry, admitting it's been a ''rollercoaster of ups and downs''.
