Dancing On Ice may return later this year if professional skaters and celebrities isolate together and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Speaking to Digital Spy, backstage digital presenter Jordan Banjo said, "There have been rumours that the celebrity skaters will have to isolate with the professionals, I think it's the only way it can work."
"You can't socially distance from your partner, trying to catch with blades strapped to their feet two metres apart is going to be a challenge." he added.
Dancing On Ice 2020 had two Irish contestants - professional footballer Kevin Kilbane and Love Islander Maura Higgins but were both pipped to the post by Joe Swash, the former EastEnders actor and his skating partner, Alex Murphy.
Kilbane did not walk away empty-handed, he found love on the show with his professional dance partner Brianne Delacourt, who he is now engaged to.
