Actor Armie Hammer and entrepreneur Elizabeth Chambers have announced that they have split after 10 years of marriage.

The former couple announced the news on their respective Instagram accounts, sharing the same throwback photo. They are parents to five-year-old daughter Harper Grace and three-year-old son Ford Douglas Armand.

"Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents," Chambers and Hammer wrote.

"It has been an incredible journey, but together, we've decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage.

"As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority.

"We understand this news lends itself to public dialogue, but in the interest of our children and our family, we're asking for privacy, compassion and love during this time."

Thirty-three-year-old Hammer and 37-year-old Chambers marked their 10th wedding anniversary in May. Hammer is best known for his roles in the films Call Me by Your Name and The Social Network.
