It is reported that Michael Keaton is in talks to reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne almost 30 years after starring in Batman Returns - this time in another DC Comics spin-off.

The Hollywood Reporter says Keaton is in talks about making an appearance opposite Ezra Miller in the new superhero movie The Flash, which is due to begin production in London next Spring. The film will be directed by IT helmer Andy Muschietti.

The entertainment trade publication adds that if a deal is done, Keaton could make several appearances in other DC Comics adaptations, just as Samuel L Jackson has featured as Nick Fury in numerous Marvel movies. Warner Bros, the studio behind The Flash and other DC Comics productions, made no comment.

Keaton's last superhero foray was playing a faded action star in the 2014 Oscar-winning black comedy Birdman. Along with Batman Returns, Keaton also portrayed Batman/Bruce Wayne in 1989's Batman
