Bridesmaids actor Chris O'Dowd has released footage of a protest over the death of George Floyd at the end of his road in California.
The Roscommon actor’s footage shows masked protestors among materials set alight on the main road of the suburb where he lives in west LA. Protests have spread across the US sparked by the death of Mr Floyd, an unarmed African American man in Minneapolis police custody last Monday

Many involved in the entertainment industry have used their celebrity status to call for the end of racism.
"Because we're white, we have had privilege. Even the poorest of us have had privilege. We need to recognize that, and we have to understand what it is that keeps racism in place: the policies, redlining, banking policies, mortgage policies." — @JaneFonda pic.twitter.com/HcQmihaF3v
