Music legend Eric Clapton's tour, scheduled for this spring, will now begin in 2021 in Munich, with further dates in  Germany, in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, ending in Moscow in June. All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled show dates in 2021.

"Following the advice of global healthcare agencies and local government instructions, we are sorry that we have no alternative but to announce that Eric Clapton's European Tour planned for May/June 2020 will now be rescheduled to Spring 2021, " an official statement declared.  

"The health and safety of our band, crew, venue staff and fans are our top priority. We look forward to seeing you in Spring 2021."

The 74-year old guitarist has battled illness in recent years but he played a sold-out three-night residency at London's Royal Albert Hall in May of last year.

"I am still going to work…," the renowned blues-man told BBC radio host Steve Wright in January 2018. "The only thing I am concerned with now is I am going deaf.

"I've got tinnitus, my hands just about work. I mean, I am hoping people will come along and see me, me more than I am a curiosity. I know that is part of it, because it’s amazing to myself that I am still here."
