It has not been announced yet when the soaps will stop airing.
The news comes after RTÉ suspended production on Fair City, with the show now being broadcast twice a week.
"Broadcasting two episodes a week will mean that viewers can enjoy all the happenings in Carrigstown until mid April," RTÉ said in a statement.
"Thanks to our viewers for watching. We will endeavor to get back and running as soon as is possible."
The BBC have also stopped production on a number of shows, including EastEnders.
