Fiona Shaw lands new role in BBC's Baptiste

Cork-born actress Fiona Shaw has been cast in the new series of crime show Baptiste, which is a spin-off of The Missing, 

The Killing Eve star Shaw will be joining Tchéky Karyo in the new series of the crime series.

Shaw is cast as Emma Chambers, a British Ambassador, whose entire family goes missing on a ski holiday. She reaches out to Baptiste, played by Karyo to find them.

Harry and Jack Williams, the brothers behind the show, said: "We can’t wait to see the two of them together.’ Two badasses are teaming up and we’re ready"

They revealed that it was likely the show would end after the upcoming six-episode stint.

The Controller of BBC Drama Piers Wenger said: "I am delighted that Baptiste is returning to BBC One and can't wait to see Tchéky in action with Fiona Shaw in her new role."

Baptiste is currently being filmed in Amsterdam.
