In a surprise development on tonight's Dancing On Ice, presenter Holly Willoughby announced that Caprice Bourret and partner Hamish Gaman had unexpectedly "parted ways" before the actual show began.
The 41-year old American actress failed to appear in the show's opening number which has given rise to speculation that she had pulled out of the show.
Meanwhile, the presenter confirmed that Hamish still 'very much part of our professional team'
A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice confirmed the news to MailOnline. 'We hope to have Caprice back on the ice next week,' ran the brief statement.
The ten remaining couples took to the ice for a Musicals special, with Joe Swash finishing bottom of the leader board with 20.5 points out of 40
Perri Kiely continued his impressive display with a Lion King-themed skate and earned the highest score of the series so far with 32 points with pro Vanessa Bauer. Bauer returned to the show this evening following a fall during training a fortnight ago.
Love Island star Maura Higgins said she was "happy with that" as she and Alexander Demetriou earned 25 out of 40. "I definitely wasn't as nervous (this time)," she said.
Lucrezia Millarini and her partner Brendyn Hatfield were eliminated from Dancing On Ice tonight. The pair lost out after a skate-off against real-life couple Kevin Kilbane and Brianne Delcourt.
