Dancing On Ice professional skater Vanessa Bauer has been given the go ahead to compete on this evening's show, after being forced to pull out last week.

After days of uncertainty, the skater revealed the news on Instagram. "Me after I got told I can skate in the show tomorrow.

"I'm SO excited to perform our creative routine and I have worked super hard on this performance and are going to try tricks that we’ve never seen on the ice before!!!"

The 23-year old skater fell during a training session at Slough Ice Arena in Berkshire a fortnight ago, which caused a worrying concussion.

The skating star, who is partnered with Diversity's Perri Kiely, confirmed that she would not be participating in last Sunday's show after doctors advised her to rest. Vanessa admitted she was 'gutted' at having to temporarily withdraw.

Watch Vanessa Bauer on the show on Virgin Media One at 6.00pm this evening.
