Cillian Murphy in quite the trailer for A Quiet Place II

Cillian Murphy makes quite the entrance in the first trailer for one of the most anticipated films of 2020 - star Emily Blunt and writer-director John Krasinski's sequel to their 2018 chiller A Quiet Place.

The trailer, which was released on New Year's Day, sees Blunt's character Evelyn and children Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and Marcus (Noah Jupe) tiptoeing through the post-apocalyptic landscape as they try not to alert the terrifying noise-sensitive creatures from the first film.

However, things don't go to plan - and that's where Murphy's character comes in.

A Quiet Place II is released in cinemas on Friday, March 20 Screengrab: Paramount Pictures

"There are people out there worth saving," Blunt's Evelyn tells him.

"The people that are left, they're not the kind of people worth saving," is his reply.

All will be revealed when A Quiet Place II is released in cinemas on Friday, March 20.
