The New Year will begin on Coronation Street with harrowing courtroom scenes as David Platt faces his attacker, Josh Tucker.
In a preview clip from next week's episodes, David gives evidence about the night he was raped by Tucker.
"He spiked my drink, and I don't really remember a lot after that," he recounts.
David then goes on to tell the court the next thing he remembers is waking up the following morning.
The scenes will air on Virgin Media One and ITV next Friday, January 3.
