Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell choked on a piece of camel meat on Friday night's edition of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here but was saved by Good Morrning Britain presenter Kate Garraway.

The Dubliner got some food lodged in his throat causing panic among the rest of the camp as his face started to turn red and he knelt down.

The GMB host pounded the gasping comedian repeatedly on his back and dislodged the jungle meal, which fellow campers Jacqueline Jossa and Myles had won for completing a trial.

Garraway said: "You went bright red, I was like oh my god." "Chew your food, mate you scared us." added Myles.

Andy said 'Please don't do that again Andrew.'

Cliff Parisi joked that he would chew Maxwell's food for him in future, to which the comedian responded, that "would be great."

Later Maxwell stepped into the sunlight, raised his arms out and said: "Not today Lord, not today, thank you for the second chance."
