Shirley Ballas has gone beyond the call of duty in her role as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing by posting a picture of herself connected to a drip and saying she is determined to be at the live show of the popular series.
The judge shared a picture of her receiving intravenous treatment of vitamins and anti-inflammatory medication in a bid to feel better: "I'm under the weather today for sure and getting sick, so hopefully I'll be right as rain by Saturday."
There was controversy on Strictly this week after DJ Dev Griffin and his partner were eliminated after the dance-off and the judges were called to account.
Defending her decision this week, Bellas said, "Somebody has to go," she said. "We do our job to the best that we can. We have to pick it right there.
Lots of people wrote to me and said, 'He's got so much talent'. We have to do it right there in that split second of a minute and 20. You have to make a decision.
"The three judges were unanimous, so it wasn't down to me. It was unanimous, and then I just agreed with them."
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
