The Eurovision Song Contest officially confirmed the location for 2020 on Friday with a tweet which read: "Together with our reigning champion @duncanlaurence we’re excited to announce the Host City & dates for next year’s #Eurovision Song Contest!"
The first and second semi finals will take place on May 12 and 14, with the Grand Final taking place on May 16.
Next year will be the fifth time The Netherlands has hosted the competition. They hosted in 1980 when 1978 and 1979 winners Israel declined to hold the event for a second consecutive year.
Dutch cities The Hague and Hilversum have also played host to the event.
Hosting next year's contest also means the Netherlands will automatically qualify for the final, along with The "Big Five" of the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
The annual contest will be shown on RTÉ.
