The actress Mia Farrow, and directors Rob Reiner,John Carpenter and Guilermo Del Toro are among those from the movie world paying tribute to the actor Peter Fonda, who died, aged 79 on Friday.
Farrow declared that the much-revered actor and star of Easy Rider, Fargo and The Hired Hand was " a lovely person - a beautiful spirit. Peace at last Peter."

Rob Reiner also recognised the actor's great talent. "My heart goes out to Jane over the loss of her brother. Peter Fonda was a revolutionary film-maker during a revolutionary time. Born in the house I now live in, his spirit will be missed."
