Love Island's Francesca Allen has hit back at claims that there is tension between her and Caroline Flack and insisted they "get along really well".

The Essex clothing store manager took to Instagram to set the record straight and admitted there is no beef between her and the 39-year-old presenter.

On Sunday night's episode of Love Island: Aftersun it was claimed that Flack snubbed the former contestant

Fans couldn't help but speculate that this was in response to an unearthed tweet, which showed Francesca's friend commenting on Flack's then relationship with Harry Styles in 2012.

However, the 23-year-old has revealed the pair get along just fine and said the situation is "getting blown out of proportion".

"It's all a learning curve. Me and Caroline get along really well."

"I don’t use Twitter and those words didn’t come out of my mouth. It’s all getting blown out of proportion."

She added: "Me and Caroline had a little drink and a chat after Aftersun. So yeah, we get along really well. I don't know what this is all about!"

Flack also responded to rumours that she was stand-offish to Francesca and said she doesn't "hold grudges".

Francesca, who left the Love Island villa with Michael last week , recently described her time on the show as "just amazing" and "the best experience".

She said: "I learnt so much about myself in there and it was a massive life lesson for me. I made great memories and great friends in a short amount of time.

"It was a very positive experience."

Love Island continues on Virgin Media Two at 9pm.
