The Clare singer was one of the lucky selected artists for the tour as only 28 out of 41 countries were chosen to perform.
The 25-year-old mother of one will be going to London next weekend and Moscow the following week as part of the promo tour.
Speaking to RTÉ, she said: "I was delighted to be invited to perform in Amsterdam. It was fantastic meeting some of the other Eurovision acts for the first time. It was great to meet them all face to face before we get to Tel Aviv next month."
She added, "I couldn't wait to get out on stage and perform 22 for all the fans last night. Our three songwriters Janieck, Marcia "Misha" Sondeijker and Roulsen are from The Netherlands and they were all there last night too so it was really special to meet them for the first time."
Speaking about the reaction from the fans, McTernan said, "The fans have been so brilliant - they’ve given me gifts of amazing fan art and even banana crisps and vegan chocolate because they know I’m a gym bunny!"
