Pete Davidson has discussed people's "crazy fascination" with the age gap between himself and his new girlfriend Kate Beckinsale, saying: "it doesn't really bother us".
The 25-year-old comedian and 45-year-old Hollywood star confirmed they were dating after they attended a New York Rangers game at Madison Square Gardens earlier this month where they were photographed kissing.
Davidson addressed his new romance - without mentioning the Beckinsale by name - during a sketch on Saturday Night Live on March 9, where he said he was baffled by the "crazy fascination" people have with the 20-year age difference.
"Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference. But it doesn't really bother us, but then again I'm new to this," he said, before calling out a list of high-profile men who have dated younger women, and one man who is married to an older woman.
"So if you have questions about a relationship with a big age difference, just ask Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Statham, Michael Douglas, Richard Gere, Jeff Goldblum, Scott Disick, Dane Cook, Derek Jeter, Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee, Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn and whoever the president of France is," he said, referring to Emmanuel Macron, who is 24 years younger than his wife, Brigitte.
He continued: "Mel Gibson, Billy Joel, Mick Jagger, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Murphy, Kelsey Grammer, Larry King, Larry King, Larry King, Rod Stewart and Donald Trump."
Davidson was previously in a high-profile relationship with popstar Ariana Grande. They began dating in May 2018 and became engaged in June after only a few weeks together.
They broke up and called off their engagement in October of that year.
