It is reported that there is a new twist in the Ariana Grande Japanese tattoo saga, and that the singer has made things worse in her attempt to make her kanji character ink work correctly read '7 Rings', instead of translating as 'Japanese-style barbecue grill' or 'small charcoal grill'.

Grande took to Instagram to tell fans she had rectified the now-infamous mistake, writing: "Slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me fix and to @kanenavasard [tattooist] for being a legend."
"RIP tiny charcoal grill," she added. "Miss u man. I actually really liked u."
However, a "professional translator" has told website Lad Bible that Grande has only made matters worse.
"Ariana's had a nightmare here," the unnamed translator claimed. "Technically, the new tattoo is still not right. If you read it in the same order as the original one, it now says 'BBQ grill finger ♡'.
"The only way it would be correct is if she added a couple more symbols and rearranged them. But to be honest there was no way of fixing it. She would've been better off just getting it lasered off."
Celebrity website TMZ said: "Here's the thing - Ariana's ink still doesn't say '7 Rings'. We're told she added the character for 'finger' to it in order to clear things up, but the placement is off. So, it now reads 'Japanese BBQ finger'."
