1975 frontman Matt Healy has reached out to Harry Styles to ask him if he can produce his next album.

Healy took to Twitter to say, "I need @Harry_Styles new number I'm defo blocked."

He then followed up with a second tweet saying the reason behind the phone number request was that he and George Daniel, The 1975 drummer and producer, want to work with him on his next studio project.

Harry Styles has yet to tweet back

"Hey @Harry_Styles me and George really wanna produce your next album hmu if you wanna," Healy said.

"It’s cool if not tho I know you’re like super busy etc love!!!!!"

Former One Direction singer Styles, who released his eponymous debut solo album in 2017, has yet to respond to Healy's tweets, but fans of both musicians have been sharing their support online.

Others hailed a potential collaboration as "iconic" with fans begging Styles to "make it happen."
