Steven Seagal will not face charges from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office over an allegation of sexual assault in 2002 because the statute of limitations has expired. The actor has denied the allegation and all others made against him.
Law enforcement officials said the allegation exceeded the time limit in which a criminal complaint has to be made to the authorities.
The Press Association reports that there was no sufficient evidence to continue a case against Seagal under the criteria that could prevent the statute of limitations window from closing.
In September of this year prosecutors in Los Angeles also declined to file charges against Seagal arising from another allegation - again due to the statute of limitations.
The 66-year-old, who has been accused of sexual assault and harassment by a number of women, has denied all of the allegations made against him.
