Court documents in the US have revealed that actress Alicia Silverstone is to pay $12,000 a month in maintenance to her ex-husband Chris Jarecki as part of their divorce settlement.
The 42-year-old Clueless actress and Jarecki began dating in 1997 and they married in 2005. Earlier this year they announced their split, citing irreconcilable differences.
Jarecki, who is the father of their seven-year-old son Bear, will receive the money until January 31, 2024 - unless he has a new relationship or his housing costs are reduced by half.
The former lead singer of the band S.T.U.N. hosts his own radio show, A Musical Journey with Christopher Jarecki.
Silverstone can next be seen in the upcoming sitcom American Woman. Last year, she starred opposite Irish actors Colin Farrell and Barry Keoghan in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
The documents reveal that the couple, who announced their split in February, had actually broken up in March 2016. They will share joint custody of their son.
A representative for the former couple said in February of this year: ''They still deeply love and respect each other and remain very close friends but have mutually decided to separate after being together for 20 years."
The marriage will be officially dissolved on December 7, 2018.
