Ariana Grande has clapped back at Piers Morgan over critical comments he made about pop band Little Mix and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
After Little Mix promoted their new single Strip by posting a nude image of the girl group which was intended to champion body positivity, Morgan took to Good Morning Britain to say the photograph isn't empowering.
"It's nonsense. It's just stripping off to sell records. It's actually using sex and sexuality to sell records. That's it. There's nothing else to this," he said.
Morgan also had a pop at DeGeneres's chat show for showing a montage of men's bodies.
Ariana's mum Joan Grande first tweeted her displeasure at his comments, writing: "Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!"
When Morgan replied to Joan saying "my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion", Grande backed up her mother by writing: "Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.
"I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified.
"it's OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand.
"i say this w all due respect but thank u, next."

The God Is A Woman singer then tweeted to Little Mix, urging them to "keep fighting the fight divas", and saying "your sisters have your back".

She concluded: "Also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do.
"I think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it."
