The trailer for the sixth and final season of House of Cards has dropped and it looks like Claire Underwood is as indomitable as ever as the first female President of the United States.

After the show made the decision to kill off lead actor Kevin Spacey's character Frank Underwood in light of sexual misconduct allegations against him, Robin Wright's always intriguing Claire Underwood has come to the fore for the upcoming concluding series.

It looks like Claire is up to her usual devious tricks as she grapples with her newfound power.

"Each one of us has to defend our destiny. The first female President of the United States is not going to keep her mouth shut," she says in a clip from the show.

Claire also squares up to Michael Kelly's Doug Stamper, telling him: "I’m not going to be told what to do anymore, Doug. Not be you, or any man, ever again."

The unscrupulous Doug is later asked who he fears most.

"Her", he replies.

It looks like Claire will be faced with an uphill battle to maintain her power...

The sixth and final season of House of Cards will be released on Netflix on November 2, consisting of eight instead of 13 episodes.
