Fair City star Jenny Dixon, famed for playing Kerri-Ann in the RTÉ soap for the past five years, says she shed some tears following the public reaction to her death on the show.
The actress appeared on The Ray D'Arcy Show on Saturday night where she spoke about her violent exit from the soap.
Kerri-Ann died at the hands of Aoife, Karen's mother, in dramatic scenes that aired last week.

Dixon joked that shooting her final scene she felt a "survival urge", that she was "grasping on to the five years and going 'No, Aoife don't do it!'"
However, she told D'Arcy: "It was a sense of completion then as well, obviously a mix of emotions."
The actress said she got "a huge reaction" from viewers after the scenes aired that left her teary-eyed.
"I didn't anticipate getting so emotional as I did, because I had attended the wrap party, and I had attended the screening party and I thought I had it together", she said.
"Then when it aired I got this influx of calls and messages and social media messages and that just broke me. I was like 'I'm going to start crying now' so that was the emotional part when the reaction of the public came through."
Goodbye Kerri-Ann 😭

The actress said she sat down with the Fair City producers and writers when they were working out Kerri-Ann's exit, and said they decided to "just go with the fireworks".
"It became more of a thriller chase, it became a different genre almost to shoot", she said.
