B*Witched have been announced as the first act to perform at Electric Picnic's Electric Ireland Throwback Stage.
The C’est La Vie hitmakers will follow in the footsteps of other stars like Bonnie Tyler, Bananarama and 5ive, who have all previously performed on the stage at Electric Picnics gone by.
As the first throwback act confirmed for this year's festivities in Stradbally, it's time to get your double denim at the ready – and hope you won't have to Blame any rain On The Weatherman...
After becoming 90s sensations at home and abroad, B*Witched split up in 2002 but came back together as part of The Big Reunion in 2012.
Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou, and Sinéad O'Carroll of B*Witched said they are "really looking forward" to joining the Electric Picnic line-up.
"We are so excited to headline Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic," they said. "It’s always brilliant to come back to Ireland and play to a home crowd."
"We are really looking forward to breaking out the double denim and having the absolute craic. Rain or shine, it’s going to be an amazing day, and there’s more great acts to be announced. C’est La Vie is like our baby so we’d love see it being brought back."
Electric Picnic takes place in Stradbally, Co. Laois for the weekend beginning Friday, August 31.
