The Irish crowd is world renowned, and May, who has performed with greats from Lou Reed to Tom Jones over the years, said she often hears other artists raving about the energy at concerts in Ireland.
"Oh god I hear about that all the time from other artists, that they love playing in Dublin," she said.
"It's such a nice vibe; people have a free way of enjoying themselves which is lovely."
The show comes as part of May's tour of her album Life Love Flesh Blood and the star said she is enjoying playing the album live more than her older material because it's the most relevant record to her life right now.
"I've enjoyed gigging this album a lot more, well, if I'm honest I tend to enjoy each album more than the last one, because it's more current to me, it feels fresher," she explained.
"I like all my albums but it just feels like the right thing to be singing at the right time."
