Victoria Beckham praised her husband David Beckham saying she has the "support of an incredible husband" while admitting that she is trying to "be the best wife and the best professional".

Speaking at Forbes Women's Summit in New York, the 44-year-old singer-turned-fashion designer, defended her marriage amid claims that she was heading for a divorce after 19 years of marriage.

"I have the support of an incredible husband", she said. "We really are equal with everything we do at home with the children. When I'm away he's the one doing the school run and doing the cooking."

When asked how she balances her busy work life, the former Spice Girl and mum-of-four said she tries to put her all into her family.

"I try really, really hard. I try hardest to be the best mother..."
