Long veterans of Croke Park themselves, U2 have sent Taylor Swift a good luck card and a bunch of roses ahead of her two gigs at the Dublin venue this weekend.

Swift, who takes to the stage at Croker on Friday and Saturday night as part of her Reputation tour, shared a snap of the gift and the card, which reads ""From your Irish fan club - Bono, The Edge, Adam and Larry."

Posting on her Instagram account, she wrote, "Walked into my dressing room to find roses from @U2 and I WAS NOT READY FOR IT. I LOVE U2I LOVE IRELAND! LETS DO THIS CROKE PARK!!!"

Doors for Swift's concerts open at 5.45pm, with support act Charli XCX set to perform at 6.30pm.

The second support act Camila Cabello is due on stage at 7.15pm, with Swift's two-hour show to follow.

In other U2 news, the band will release remastered and pressed on 180gsm double LP black vinyl of their albums Achtung BabyZooropa and The Best of 1980-1990 on July 27.
