A smiling Patrick Bergin has told RTÉ Entertainment that his "lips are sealed" about a possible return as EastEnders villain Aidan Maguire.
The character, a career criminal, caused chaos in Albert Square earlier this year before he was run out of Walford.
Bergin was among the stars at the IFTA Gala Television Awards at the RDS in Dublin on Thursday night and described his time on the BBC soap as "great fun".
"All the cast are great," Bergin said. "The storylines, etc. etc.
"He was an interesting character - I kind of took a little bit from Red Rock over that way. That's what they were looking for and that's what they got!"
When asked if Aidan would be back to exude more menace in Albert Square, Bergin replied: "My lips are sealed!"
