Danny Boyle has been confirmed as the director of the new 007 movie, provisionally titled Bond 25, and Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond for the fifth time in the 2019 outing.
Universal Pictures have won the international distribution rights to the 25th movie about the suave agent, which will see the Trainspotting director behind the hotly-anticipated spy movie.
Speaking to Deadline, EON Productions' Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said, ''We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond in the 25th instament of the franchise."
''We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and thrilled that Universal will be our international distributor.''
Production on the movie, which is scheduled for release in Ireland on October 25, 2019, is due to begin on December 3.
Last year, James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli told RTÉ Entertainment that she would "love" if the opportunity arose to film a 007 adventure in Ireland, because her experience making the Blake Lively spy thriller The Rhythm Section in the country had been so positive.
