Filming is completed and Norfolk's most consummately professional broadcaster returns with due self-importance to television this year.
This Time with Alan Partridge will air on BBC One later this year.
The new sitcom follows Alan as his career is given a welcome filip as a stand-in co-host on a weekday evening magazine show called This Time.
The much-anticipated new vehicle - mostly anticipated by the host himself, played by Steve Coogan - marks Alan's first foray in live television since his '90s chat show Knowing Me, Knowing You. Consumer affairs, current affairs, viewer interaction, highbrow interview and lightweight froth will be the matter in hand, according to Digital Spy.
Cast-wise, Coogan will again be joined by Sidekick Simon (Tim Key), as well as co-presenter Jennie Gresham (Susannah Fielding). Felicity Montagu returns as the redoubtable Lynn.
This Time with Alan Partridge will air in half-hour episodes and, as a series is believed to perfectly encapsulate the inimitable talents one of the heavyweight broadcasters of all time.
