Ryan Tubridy has shared a very interesting picture on Instagram…it seems he has figured out how to travel back in time and interview Martin Luther King!
Ok, so we know not even Tubridy can travel in time, yet, but this picture he has shared on social media strikes an uncanny resemblance to The Late Late Show presenter interviewing Martin Luther King.
Speaking about his "Forrest Gump" moment on Radio 1 this morning Tubridy said: "A friend of mine was watching a documentary over the weekend on Bobby Kennedy, I didn’t see it. But he screen-grabbed a photograph of one scene where there is a journalist interviewing Martin Luther King.
"He said to me, ‘So you where there too!’ It is very rare that I would see a likeness of myself, but it is pretty uncanny.
"It is a real Forrest Gump moment. It looks like I am standing with a microphone interviewing Martin Luther King Jr.
"It feels like an episode of the Twilight Zone. If it was the Twilight Zone I would happily go back to the 60s, I’m not meant to be here at all!"
Followers of Tubs on Instagram seem to be in agreement. @oztanhouseireland said: "Hilarious...the split of you, side profile. Everyone has their doppelganger, they say !" While @themacmac7 reckons "he is gearing up to ask you for #toyshow tickets!"
@shazhope1979 told Tubridy "Add time-travelled to your CV!" and @neasa_g pondered: "@instatubridy can’t figure out if he’s more like you or your man who used to present going for gold ! What’s his name Henry????"
