Shayne Ward has teased his Coronation Street exit storyline saying it will be one of the most shocking exits in the soaps history.
Former X Factor star Ward made his Corrie debut in 2015 as Aiden Connor, and the 33-year-old said that he "bawled like a baby" while working on his final scenes.
Ward has already filmed his final appearance on the cobbles, with his exit fast approaching as his character's storyline heats up.
"I had a bit of a breakdown when I filmed my final scene," Ward told The Daily Star on Sunday.
"It's one of Corrie's most shocking exits."
While the exact details of Ward's exit are under wraps, a source told The Sun, "Nobody will see this coming. Viewers are going to be absolutely stunned. It's going to be a blow for fans, but also a massive TV moment."

Ward's character Aiden is currently embroiled in a dramatic storyline alongside his on-screen ex Eva (Catherine Tyldesley), who is also set to leave Weatherfield.
Coronation Street continues on ITV and TV3 at 7.30pm on Monday.
