Singer Mary Black has been forced to postpone two of her shows, telling fans she has been "confined to bed" due to illness.
In a post on her website, Black wrote: "I am so sorry to have to postpone two gigs this weekend - at the INEC, Killarney and the Woodlands Hotel in Waterford. I was sick last weekend but I managed to get through two concerts on Friday and Saturday night."
"However my health has gotten progressively worse and this week the doctor told me I have shingles as well as a throat and ear infection!" she continued.
"I'm very disappointed to let people down this weekend but there's no way I can sing and I'm confined to bed for the next while."
Black has rescheduled the two concerts for July 20 and 21.
"I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience," she added.
Black is currently due back onstage on April 20 at Dublin's Vicar Street.
She is touring following the release of her new album, Mary Black Sings Jimmy MacCarthy.
