US TV host and comedian Seth Meyers has revealed he has become a father for the second time after his wife, Alexi Ashe, gave birth in the hallway of their apartment building.
Myers announced the news on his TV show, Late Night with Seth Myers, telling viewers that he came into work late because his wife had given birth to a baby boy the day before.
Revealing that his son came into the world very quickly he said: "I called 911 and, over the course of a minute conversation, I said 'We're about to have a baby - we're having a baby - we had a baby."
Axel Strahl is the star's second child with wife Alexi Ashe, they are already parents to 2-year-old Ashe Olsen.
The star thanked the officers from the New York Fire Department, who arrived just after the baby did and helped cut the cord.
And his neighbours helped with towels to keep the baby warm until more help arrived.
The TV host joked: "I'm getting choked up thinking about how brave I was."
