Diane Keaton has defended her friend and former co-star Woody Allen against the allegation that he sexually assaulted his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow when she was a child.
Director Allen has been accused by Dylan Farrow - his daughter with former partner Mia Farrow - of sexually assaulting her in 1992 when she was seven-years-old. He has repeatedly denied the allegation.

Taking to Twitter, Keaton wrote: "Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him. It might be of interest to take a look at the 60 Minute [sic] interview from 1992 and see what you think."

Keaton and Allen, who made a number of films together including Play It Again Sam, Annie Hall and Manhattan Murder Mystery, have been friends for almost 50 years and were romantically involved.
In June of last year, Allen presented the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award to Keaton in Hollywood.
