Radio and TV star Jennifer Zamparelli has announced that she and her husband Lau Zamparelli have welcomed their second child, a baby boy.

The host of Breakfast Republic on 2fm took to Twitter to reveal that she gave birth to their son yesterday and named him Enzo.

She tweeted on Thursday morning: "So a new little man came into the world yesterday. Enzo Zamparelli joined us and we are just so thrilled with him."

In reply to her tweet, her 2fm co-host Bernard O'Shea had a typically humorous response, writing: "Why aren’t you in this morning ? If you can tweet you could kinda come in ???"

The couple, who wed in Castle Leslie in Monaghan in July 2014, are already parents to two-year-old daughter Florence who was born in March 2015.

The broadcaster and star of RTÉ's Bridget & Eamon announced that she and her husband were expecting their second child live on air in August last year.

She joked that she was making the announcement ahead of the RTÉ new season launch because she didn't want people to think she had "eaten 18 boxes of doughnuts".

"I'm up the pole, bun in the oven, the stork is coming - I'm pregnant", she said.
