It may have divided hardcore Star Wars fans, but The Last Jedi is set to pass the $1 billion mark in worldwide box office this weekend.
Half of that total was amassed in the film's very first week of release, and the film is expected to become the highest grossing movie of 2017 overall, despite only being released in December.
Ten films in (if you include the animated Clone Wars), the Star Wars franchise is as popular as ever, and The Force remains strong.
