Fair Play! Home and Away star Dan Ewing gives the RTÉ Player's Irish slang game a go

Home and Away stars Dan Ewing and Matt Little had their work cut out for them when they were asked to decipher the meaning of some Irish slang words.

Dan Ewing, who plays the hunky Heath Braxton on Home and Away, got the game off to a risqué start when he guessed that the word "shift" meant "a sexual intercourse kind of thing".

"Typical Aussie - I just went straight to the gutter," he joked when he was informed it meant a kiss.

But he was well and truly stumped at the meaning of "scoops", check out what he thought that meant below.

Meanwhile, Matt Little, who plays VJ Patterson on the Aussie soap, easily figured out "take the piss" and "muppet". However, he became increasingly perplexed with "on the tear" and "how's she cuttin'".

The word "gaff" was the final straw.

"That's so stupid", he said while bursting into uncontrollable giggles. You can't blame him!
