TV presenter Paul O'Grady, 62, was rushed to hospital in India after getting ill with suspected kidney failure when filming For The Love Of Dogs in Delhi.
He has had three heart attacks and a history of health scares.
O'Grady who is best known for playing Lily Savage and the TV programme O'Grady show has most recently taken over from the legendary Cilla Black presenting a revamped version of the beloved 90s show Blind Date on Channel Five.

He got married to ballet dancer Andre Portasio over the summer.
Speaking to The Mirror newspaper O'Grady said: "I used to think I was invincible but now I'm running out of lives.
I'm not scared of death at all ... It's the way you die that worries me - that's the fear.
I think I could lie there on my deathbed and say, 'Well, I've had a good time and filled a book. I've done everything I wanted to do'."
