Ibrahim Halawa will appear on The Late Late Show this Friday night to tell Ryan Tubridy about his four-year ordeal in an Egyptian prison.

He will be discussing his time spent in jail awaiting trial relating to a protest in Cairo before his eventual acquittal on all charges at the age of 21.

Originally arrested when he was just a 17-year-old, he'll also tell Ryan Tubridy what it was like to finally be free to return to Ireland and what he intends on doing next.

Ibrahim Halawa joins Conor McGregor on the line-up for this week's Late Late Show. The full line-up for the night will be revealed tomorrow.

Halawa was welcomed home by friends and supporters when he landed last week at Dublin Airport, and was accompanied through the terminal by his sister Nasaybi, and Ambassador to Egypt Sean O'Regan.

Speaking to the waiting media after a private reunion with his family, and before heading home to Firhouse in Dublin, he thanked the Irish Government and all of his supporters for their help during his lengthy incarceration.
