Best celebrity Halloween costumes of 2017

It's the spookiest time of the year and as per usual, a host of stars have brought out their A-game for Halloween.

We've rounded up our favourite celebrity costumes for 2017 so you can get some inspiration!

Modern Family's Sarah Hyland was very on trend with her Stranger Things themed outfit. The 26-year-old actress and Bachelor in Paradise's Wells Adams took the internet by storm as popular characters Eleven and Dustin Henderson.

Singer and former X Factor judge Rita Ora was dressed to kill in a leafy-green bodysuit and flame-haired wig. Many fans drew comparisons between her Poison Ivy ensemble and the one Kim Kardashian rocked in 2011.

Kim Kardashian West pulled out all the stops for Halloween this year with not one but THREE costumes. Her theme was icons and she dressed up as three of her most loved music legends from over the years.

Kim and her sister Kourtney recreated Michael Jackson and Madonna's ensembles for the 1991 Oscars and it was uncannily spot on.

Kim also dressed up as late R&B singer Aaliyah, donning a bejewelled bra top, oversized choker necklace and tonnes of smokey eye makeup.

However, it was her Cher costume that stole the show as she stepped out with her friend Jonathan Cheban as Sonny.

On the more low-key but ingenious end of the scale, Gwyneth's Se7en-inspired head in a box was a winner.

Adele looked super glam in a green sparkly dress and exaggerated makeup.

Workin' nine to five... Ellie Goulding paid homage to country music legend Dolly Parton. Those boots are spectacular!

Rozanna Purcell took inspiration from Bladerunner 2049 for Halloween this year. Those black contact lenses are haunting.

Laura Whitmore said this year's get-up was her "favourite Halloween costume to date" as she dressed up as a dead Cher from the 1995 classic Clueless.

Vogue Williams and her beau Spencer Williams could easily go incognito in their suitably creepy Halloween costumes this year.

TV presenter Emma Willis and her husband Matt channelled zombie versions of Irish popstars Jedward - aka Dedward - for Halloween.

Brilliant! Bruce Willis and his assistant went as the iconic creepy twin sisters from The Shining and looked pretty happy with themselves.

Model Emily Ratajkowski donned a purple wig and bodysuit for Halloween.

Big Little Lies actress Zoe Kravitz dressed up as Helena Bonham Carter's character from Fight Club. Nailed It.

Karlie Kloss paid homage to screen legend Marilyn Monroe in a white halterneck dress and blonde wig.

Chrissy Teigen tried out a creepy set of fake teeth. Simple but effective!

Rita Ora channeled 90s Gwen Stefani in a crop top and Burberry print skirt.

Jessica Alba incorporated her baby bump into her Halloween costume as she dressed up as the lead character from the 2007 Ellen Page-starring film Juno.

Amal Clooney looked incredible in a 70s style sequin dress and voluminous wig. Too cool!

Jessica Chastain and her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo went for terrifying contact lenses to finish off their creepy Halloween costumes.
